About Me

My name is Nicole Villablanca, and I am an Economics and Finance major at Toronto Metropolitan University. I went into this program because I am interested in how the economy works, but I am passionate about issues like inequality, power, and how people and groups are represented in society, with that, I am also interested in the Sociology program a lot.

In the course HIS500: Digital History, I want to learn how historical sources are turned into digital materials and how this process can change the way we understand the past. I am especially interested in questions about access, bias, privacy, and whose voices are included or left out in digital archives.
