Exercise #5 : Story Map
Link: Titanic Story Map For this story map, I decided to focus on the journey of the Titanic because I've already written about it in the previous blogposts and it is also a well-known historical event that happened across different locations. I thought it would be interesting to see how mapping the route would change the way the story is understood. Instead of just thinking about the Titanic as a single tragic event, the map helped me see it as a journey that moved from place to place, starting in Southampton, stopping in France and Ireland, and then crossing the Atlantic Ocean before the collision. Creating the map was actually more engaging than I expected. It was easy to add locations, but I had to think carefully about which places were most important to include and how to describe them briefly.
